Giuliana Cassano (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú) , a researcher and professor of the Academic Department of Communications of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She has a Master in Gender Studies from the PUCP and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Anthropology from the Catholic University. The national Co-coordinator of the Ibero-American Observatory of Television Fiction (OFENT), a member of the Peruvian Audiovisual Observatory and the Latin American Government Communication Studies group. Her areas of interest are gender identity issues, television, radio, and audiences, having done work in television fiction, gender studies, television, and politics. She has published articles and books on these topics, among which are “Television as recognition of diversity”, “The Hours: Notes on the female soul”, “Videoclips, the format of fragmentation”. And co-authored “Television: 14 ways of looking at it”, “Other voices, other images: local radio and television in Peru”, “Introduction to the production of fiction”, “Representation and inclusion in new communication products”, “From the balcony to television: the telepolitics of Alan García” and the Peruvian chapters of the Obitel yearbooks 2013, 2014 and 2015.

Guillermo Vásquez Fermi (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), social communicator specializing in audiovisual media with a Master’s degree. Full-time Associate Professor in the Communications Department of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He currently teaches the courses Media Language and Image and Audio Registration at the Faculty of Communication Arts and Sciences of said university, where he has also been Coordinator of the Audiovisual Communication Specialty. The national Co-coordinator of the Ibero-American Observatory of Television Fiction (OFENT). He is part of the Peruvian Audiovisual Observatory (OAP) research group and his areas of interest are television and its contents, transmedia phenomena and film trailers. He has published articles on these topics and co-authored the books: Representation and inclusion in new communication products” and the Peruvian chapters of the Obitel 2013, 2014 and 2015 yearbooks.

James A. Dettleff (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), audiovisual communicator, with a Master of Fine Arts from Ohio University. He is a research professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where he was coordinator of the Audiovisual Communication specialty, and Head of the Academic Department of Communications. He works on television fiction, television genres and formats, media history, and politics and communication. He is the coordinator of the Peruvian Audiovisual Observatory and of the Latin American Government Communication Studies group. Among his latest publications are “Local television stations in Peru. A history of their use as a political tool”, “Memory from the desert: the first years of Radio Cutivalú in the voice of those who made it”, “Research in communication in Peru”, and co-authored “From the balcony to television: Alan García’s telepolitics”, “Introduction to the production of fiction”, “Representation and inclusion in new communication products”, and the Peruvian chapters of the yearbooks Obitel 2013, 2014 and 2015.
