Mónica S. Kirchheimer is a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the UBA, research professor at the University of Buenos Aires and at the National University of the Arts, where she also works as Secretary for Research and Graduate Studies. Her research area is Art and Media, focusing on television narratives and animated poetics. She currently directs and integrates national research projects around the problems of production and circulation of animation and the international project “Redes Sur a Sur. Red Internacional de Estudios de Animación” (“South to South Networks. International Network of Animation Studies”) and she co-directs the Argentine team of OBITEL. She has published numerous articles in academic journals and books. She has compiled the volume Animación. Encuentros de lenguajes, géneros, figuras (Animation. Encounters of languages, genres, figures).

Ezequiel Rivero (Universidad de Quilmes), co-coordinator, has a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from the UBA and a Master’s in Cultural Industries. He investigates cultural industries in convergence. He teaches at the universities of Tres de Febrero and Business and Social Sciences (UCES).
